Assessment Training Programme

BASTRV Training has developed a training programme to utilise the proven competence and knowledge of senior engineers within a company, to assess the knowledge and competence of uncertificated engineers against the standards of the awarding body EAL and LEIA. All NVQ training delivered by BASTRV Training is designed to bring assessment and quality assurance in-house. This ensures all training activities remain under the company’s direct control. This approach maintains integrity, transparency, and accountability while reducing costs and minimizing external influence. Through this structure, BASTRV Training upholds consistent standards, fair delivery, and sustainable management of resources across all programmes.

Programme Integrity

The programme is structured to reduce costs while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability. By keeping NVQ assessment and quality assurance functions in-house, BASTRV Training ensures full control over training outcomes and minimizes dependency on external influences.

Policy Statement

This programme is put in place by BASTRV Training under the company’s direct control. This ensures that training delivery, scheduling and priorities are managed fairly and consistently, without disadvantaging any candidate.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance is managed by BASTRV Training to ensure the programme remains objective, transparent, and free from internal bias or conflicts of interest.

Assessment Integrity

Designed and administered by BASTRV Training to ensure that candidate evaluation aligns with industry standards and company objectives, while maintaining integrity, consistency, and fairness throughout the assessment process.

If you’re looking to implement this kind of assessment in your organisation or want help aligning roles to EAL standards, we can help you build a plan or draft a proposal.

I had the pleasure of completing my A1 and V1 Assessor courses with Richard Baskerville, and I can honestly say he was a huge part of my success. Richard is a true professional and an absolute gent - supportive, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable.

The course itself was delivered in a clear, engaging and practical way, making even the more complex elements easy to understand. Richard’s guidance, patience and real-world insights gave me the confidence to progress and ultimately pass.
